Charles-Olivier Maltais

Last updated: August 14, 2023

Charles-Olivier Maltais is an inquisitive, spirited and generous actor who loves to act and share that love with others. His unique career path led him to perfect his craft and, in 2022, complete his studies at Collège Lionel-Groulx’s École de théâtre professionnel. His ability to relate easily to others led him to team up with former classmates to produce an extraordinary immersive show based on Duncan Macmillan’s Des arbres (Lungs). While still at college, he worked on a number of short films with film graduates from Concordia University. He also helped develop and create Zone grise, a play about sexual consent among young people. A writer with an authentic style, Charles-Olivier also has directing experience, having staged his work at Théâtre Lionel-Groulx. As well, in December 2022, with the Vendredi 16 theatre company, he toured a number of schools in underprivileged Montréal neighbourhoods to promote reading through puppetry.
