Esther Duquette

Since August 2016 Esther Duquette is the artistic director and general manager of Théâtre la Seizième in Vancouver. She trained in music and dance in Montreal and studied journalism at the Université du Québec à Montréal, specializing in arts. She is the cofounder of the Vancouver-based theatre company Deux par quatre and a recipient of the Prix Roland Mahé–Banque Nationale presented by the Fondation pour l’avancement du théâtre francophone au Canada. In 2015, she and Gilles Poulin-Denis workshopped an early version of Straight Jacket Winter at the Zones Théâtrales biennial theatre festival.
