Katharine Fountain

Katharine Fountain is an artist and sound designer from Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

While crafting the sonic backdrop of MYÜZ, Katharine drew inspiration from the sounds and spirit of beloved pets and local wildlife, the essence of sweet nostalgia, and her ongoing journey on the path towards understanding the inner workings of her own mind.  

The sounds of MYÜZ were created using an assortment of vocal recordings, custom synth patches and found sounds. The soundscape has been meticulously arranged to enhance the theme of each room, while subconsciously guiding the audience to explore their imagination and limitless creativity. 

Katharine is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and McGill University. She is an active member of the NAC/CNA’s Global Network of Female & Non-Binary Music Producers.
