Mieko Ouchi

Mieko works as an actor, writer, director, dramaturg, and she is co-founder and current Artistic Director of Concrete Theatre and an Associate Artist at the Citadel. Her plays are produced across Canada and internationally and have been recognized with a Carol Bolt Prize, two Betty Awards and a Governor General’s Award nomination as well as translated into six languages. Upcoming directing work includes A Brimful of Asha for the Citadel Theatre, a national tour of Songs My Mother Never Sung Me for Concrete and the premiere of her new play Burning Mom for the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre.
