Simon Champagne

Last updated: May 22, 2024

Simon Champagne graduated from the Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe theatre school in 2023 with a scholarship for excellence. Soon afterwards, he began working in theatre and as a street presenter for the Juste pour rire festival and Fantômes Montréal Ghosts. Simon also studied music and has been playing the cello and piano for over 15 years, both in concert and, more recently, in musical improvisation with the improvisational theatre company Le Syndrome. Curious by nature, Simon takes part in public readings, short films and plays for young audiences. Drawing on his experience with the Nouvelle ligue d’improvisation and his training as a drama teacher, he also leads improvisation workshops in schools. Following his engagement with the 2024 Collective, Simon hopes to continue to develop his versatility as a performer while cultivating his deep interest in creative theatre.
