About Xander Sen
Xander Sen started dancing when he was 5 years old with the Ukrainian School of Dance. He then went on to study Ballet, Modern, Jazz with his primary focus towards Contemporary and Hip Hop. Having taught around the city since 2020. Xander has taken it upon himself to broaden his horizons, training and teaching in New York and Toronto. Most recently Xander co-produced and performed in a show highlighting young choreographers from Ottawa looking to pursue concert work called “Baby Teeth”. He also represented Canada at Rise Dance Camp on full scholarship in Mexico last month.
Enamoured by the act of creating, Xander has invested his time connecting dance and film, having worked as the lead and choreographer in Sasha Cay’s music videos for “Blackfly” & “Do I” with both being screened at the Mayfair Theatre.
Xander has a long-standing relationship with the NAC having performed for King Charles at the Grand Re-Opening of the NAC for Canada’s 150th anniversary as well as performing a solo for “Close Encounters” at Southam Hall with live accompaniment conducted by Alexander Shelly and the NAC orchestra. Xander is looking forward to be performing BOLERO X with Ballet BC the 17th & 18th at the NAC.
Xander is super excited to teach at the NAC and share his love of Dance for All!
