Disturbed Places is a collaboration between Kathleen Duborg and Piril Sesli containing two simultaneous poems about the changes both feel they are confronting and undertaking.

Fireweed
Epilobium angustifolium

Fireweed is a flowered plant that is the first to grow after fires, and it favors disturbed places. Traditional uses are extensive and intricate, including padding, weaving and cord for fishing nets.

Kathleen and Piril live and create on the traditional, unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xwmƏθkwƏýƏm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and SƏ ĺ lwƏtał (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
