At the invitation of Joe Jack and John, Papy Maurice Mbwiti created a series of videos in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. Grouped under the title S’il fallait tout détruire (“If we had to destroy everything”), these short works investigate the theme of trauma.

Coup de gueule (“rant”) offers a reflection on injustice and the consequences of police violence toward racialized people.

Joe Jack and John creates and produces its works on the unceded Mohawk territory of Tiohtià:ke.
