“Lisztomania” was a craze of fan frenzy that swept Europe in the early 1840s for Franz Liszt, who was both handsome and a colossally talented composer and pianist.

Chopin was the king of the nocturne in his time. His Sonata in B-minor (the last he composed) begins with a stormy opening that settles into beautiful serenity.
